| Tommy and Paula Yates. Owners and operators of Durant Cycle since 1979. Both have been in the Honda business since 1969. In 1979 they moved back to Durant and purchased what was then known as Johnson Cycle. The dealership remained unchanged until 1981 when they relocated to 723 W. Main and changed the name to Durant Cycle. In 2001 they moved again to the current location on highway 75. |

Durant Cycle in 1981. When we purchased this property it was a two bay service station. We added 4,000 sq feet for the parts department and the show room. The service department worked from the existing service bays and the service manager pumped gas in his spare time. In 1990 we removed the gas pumps and added an additional 4,000 sq foot showroom.
